The Georgia Water Coalition visited the State Capitol to celebrate Capitol Conservation Day on February 18, 2016, and inform legislators about the importance of water quality and conservation. This was an opportunity for Georgians to gather at the Capitol to tell their state representatives and senators that they value water for their families, economy, health, and future generations. The Georgia Water Coalition is comprised of more than 200 organizations that represent over a quarter of a million Georgians. The group includes farmers, homeowner and lake associations, business owners, sportsmen’s clubs, conservation organizations, professional associations, and religious groups. Their mission is to protect and care for Georgia’s water resources.
