The City of Conyers is inviting everyone with an appetite to Olde Town Conyers for the annual Taste of Conyers and Conyers Car Show on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Taste of Conyers features local restaurants offering small samples, or tastes, of their specialties. Restaurants price their samples ranging from $1.00-$3.00 per sample.
A number of local restaurants will be showcasing samples of their specialties. Restaurants scheduled to participate include Celtic Tavern, Rio’s Italian Ice, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Philly Connection, Atlanta Pizza and Gyro, Creamberry’s, Amici, The Chocolate Box, Whistle Post Tavern, Frontera Mex-Mex Grill, Brown Sugar Gourmet Desserts, Taco’n Madre, and more.
The City of Conyers has once again partnered with the Conyers Car Show, presented by Redline Events, to offer event participants a look at vintage cars parked along Railroad Street. The partnership lets everyone view the Conyers Car Show while enjoying their sweet and savory treats from the Taste of Conyers. A portion of the proceeds from the car show registration and sponsorships will be donated to the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial.
“The Taste of Conyers is always a popular event in which the public can come out and enjoy samples from a variety of local restaurants all in one setting, in historic Olde Town Conyers,” said Olde Town Event Coordinator Sandy Fowler. “The food vendors paired with our local merchants, car show and children’s activities makes a great Saturday outing for the entire family.”
Live entertainment will be featured on the Conyers Depot stage on Railroad Street. The event also features children’s activities. A children’s area dubbed “Candy Land” will be located in the Olde Town Pavilion and Lewis Vaughn Botanical Garden. There will be kid’s activities and food treats aimed specifically at younger event-goers.
Admission to the Taste of Conyers and the Conyers Car Show is free. For more information on the event, contact the Conyers Welcome Center at 770-602-2606 or visit www.conyersga.com.
